To provide an academic setting in which each student may learn in an age-appropriate program that focuses on applying students' strengths to address variations in learning.
- Conduct ongoing curriculum and instruction evaluation and development.

- Evaluate the staff's professional needs annually and adjust programs accordingly.
- Maintain an administration focused primarily on instruction, secondarily on management.
To create a school atmosphere which fosters mutual respect, self-confidence, psychological support, and acceptance of differences.
- Staff will promote optimal creativity and individuality in self-expression while conforming to contemporary social values.
- Educational and behavioral approaches will emphasize positive support and constructive redirection while avoiding interventions, which might impair self-esteem.
- Students will be encouraged to emulate values of tolerance and respect for differences in culture, talent, and belief.
To be a financially self-sustaining school.
- Annual operating income will equal annual operating expenses.
- Maintain a prudent level of debt appropriate to the current and projected program.
To serve as a national educational model for teaching children with learning differences.
- With support and participation of the health care and educational communities, The Winston School San Antonio will collect information regarding pertinent scientific research and educational methods for dissemination to the local, state, and national educational community.
- Develop research programs and provide an environment for ongoing scientific research into the cause and treatment of learning differences.
- Provide public information and training opportunities for health care and educational professionals.
