Why:          The Boerne Sunrise Rotary Club has “adopted” the Marine 4th Recon Battalion to give back to the men and women who have placed their lives, their careers, and their families on hold while they serve our country.”

Goal is to raise money to provide financial and emotional support for the deployed troops, wounded Marines and their families.

Special Feature

Marine PFC Cody Hill, a native Oklahoman, was a nationally ranked professional roper prior to being deployed to Iraq.  He suffered serious burns and other wounds when the Humvee in which he was riding was hit by an IED.  He was the sole survivor of the attack. Hill has undergone numerous surgeries at BAMC to repair his arms and face.  He recently began roping again and hopes to once again compete in the sport he loves.  He will conduct a roping exhibition at the dinner.

The Winston School San Antonio’s Rotary Interact Club is partnering with the Boerne Sunrise Rotary in adopting the 4th Marine Recon Unit.
