By The Winston School San Antonio

Congratulations to the class of 2017! Twenty-six seniors reached their high school graduation milestone on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Christian Delgado, Thomas Jefferson, Sergio Medellin, and Arthur Trickett-Wile were recognized as having attended Winston the longest, each attending for 11 years. Thirteen of the twenty-six graduates attended Winston from lower school to graduation.

In the Valedictorian address, Thomas Marotta celebrated the athletic, artistic, and academic accomplishments of the class of 2017 and thanked Winston for providing the environment in which their true talents could flourish.

This year’s commencement speaker, Dr. Wayne Ehrisman, is the grandfather of Winston’s first “legacy” graduate, Christian Delgado. Christian’s mother graduated from Winston in 1995. Dr. Ehrisman is a renowned Psychologist in San Antonio, a founding Winston board member, and a former Winston board chair. In his commencement speech, he encouraged students to stay true to themselves, always work hard, and to use the skills that Winston has taught them to reach their full potential.

We congratulate our 2017 senior class for accomplishing their high school goals, and we wish them the best as they continue down their individual paths of success!

Our 2017 graduating Seniors have been accepted into forty-five different colleges and received scholarships with a total value of over $1,400,000!
