Who are the WSPA Officers?
President Leads the organization toward goals chosen by the membership, presides over meetings, coordinates projects for officers and committees. President for 2016-2017: Mitch Beres
Vice President Works closely with the president to achieve goals set by the membership, coordinates involvement, takes the place of the president at events when necessary. Vice President for 2016-2017: Steve Perry
Treasurer Provides full financial reports at monthly WSPA meetings, determines budgets for all events throughout the year, approves fund requests, and collects all revenue from WSPA events and fundraisers. Treasurer for 2016-2017: Tom Heron
Hospitality Chair Coordinates teacher appreciation lunches, plans for annual events (including the Welcome Back Picnic, Muffins for Moms, and Donuts for Dads), manages supplies needed for events, represents the WSPA at various events throughout the year. Hospitality Chair: Jolene Moore
Room Parent Coordinator Communicates with room parents throughout the year in regards to all pertinent events including class auction projects, Fall Festival class booths, and Teacher Appreciation week. Room Parent Coordinator for 2016-2017: Available
Fall Festival Chair Manages all logistics for the annual Fall Festival, including but not limited to donation solicitation, booth organization, décor, and theme. Fall Festival Chair for 2016-2017: Angela Promecene
WE Run Chair Manages all logistics for the annual WE Run, including but not limited to communicating with vendors, soliciting donations, recruiting racers from the community, and promoting the event. WE Run Chair: Pam Dalton and Laura Stein
The mission of the Winston School Parents’ Association is to establish a strong parent group that advocates for the school’s educational programs. Members of the WSPA work with faculty and staff throughout the year to provide support and to foster a sense of community within the school.
