Jenn Smith

Mrs. Smith has been with WSSA since 2022. Prior to joining WSSA, she taught 2nd and 3rd grade for over 15 years in San Diego, California, including a year she took off to teach English in Japan.

Mrs. Smith’s eldest child is part of the Winston family. It was when her own child struggled to read that Jenn dove headfirst into learning how to teach the dyslexic child. Over the years, she has earned certification in Orton-Gillingham through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI).

Mrs. Smith graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. In addition to teaching 3rd grade, Jenn also leads her courageous group of Girl Scouts, ranging from Kindergarten to 6th grade.

When she’s not teaching, Mrs. Smith enjoys spending time with her three teenage kids, camping, hiking, and napping.
