The Winston School San Antonio offers physical education as a part of each school day for all Lower School and Middle School students. Upper School students are required to take two years of physical education to satisfy their graduation requirement.
Winston also encourages student participation in our after-school athletic programs. As a member of the Independent Schools Athletic League (ISAL), we offer competitive programs for our Middle and Upper School students in the following sports:
- Cross Country
- Six-Man Football
- Swimming (Upper School Only)
- Track and Field
WSSA Athletics for the 2020-21 school year:
Due to COVID-19 and the San Antonio Metro Health Directive, Upper School Football and Volleyball will not start practice until September 8
Middle School Football, Volleyball, and Soccer will also begin on September 8
ALL ATHLETES MUST have a current physical on file BEFORE they can begin practice--Physicals are good for one (1) calendar year
Because all schedules have changed, they will be emailed out and posted here when they are completed
PLEASE remember that this is a FLUID situation and all dates are subject to change
We will be following strict practice and game guidelines. As this information is established, this information will be sent out. I appreciate everyone's patience as we move forward with the start of our athletic season. Things will look a little different this year, and I will need everyone to respect the decisions that our governing bodies, administration, and I have put in place. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or (210)884-5818
