“Experience Dyslexia®”

A Learning Disabilities Simulation

This event took place on Saturday, September 25, 2021
9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Parents, teachers, university students, and others experienced the disorienting world of dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other learning differences. Using mirrors and other tools, graduate students from Trinity University guided participants as they tried to read, write, and do other academic tasks. To most, this was a powerful experience that solicits compassion, respect, and tearful emotion for anyone who faces such challenges 24 hours a day.

This intense, interactive workshop gave attendees a first-hand understanding of the difficulties and frustrations students with reading and language disabilities encounter.
