It is my pleasure to introduce you to our dynamic learning community, and our happy place. At The Winston School San Antonio, we are driven by a solid commitment to inclusivity and providing an education that caters to the diverse learning needs of students. We believe in the power of neurodiversity and the unique potential that each individual brings to the table. We recognize that every student possesses their strengths, challenges, and learning styles.

Our story began nearly 40 years ago with parents, community members, and philanthropists who believe students thrive when their learning differences are understood and accepted, when appropriate accommodations are implemented, and when their strengths as learners are validated. Over the years the location, size, and scope have changed, but our fundamental approach to teaching students remains as relevant now as ever.

The Winston philosophy revolves around the idea that education should be tailored to the individual, rather than expecting individuals to fit into a standardized mold. Our methods of best practice include personalized learning plans, multi-sensory teaching, small class sizes, holistic development, and a supportive community. We have created a curriculum that is grounded in state and national academic standards and is also designed to promote self-confidence, self-advocacy, and a sense of belonging among our students. We strongly believe that education goes beyond textbooks and exams; it's about nurturing problem-solvers who are prepared to face the challenges of the world with resilience and determination.
