One of the most powerful things we can teach a student is to become a student of themselves. Understanding how you learn, recognizing when something isn't working, and knowing what strategies to try next are all part of metacognition. For neurodiverse learners, developing this awareness can be especially valuable in building self-advocacy and independence. 💡 Key Takeaway: Metacognition helps students move from “I can't do this” to “I know what I can try next.” #WinstonSchool #LearningDifferences #Neurodiversity #Metacognition #ExecutiveFunction #SelfAdvocacy #IndependentLearning #WinstonEagles
