Michelle Spoonemore

Head of School Michelle Spoonemore joined WSSA in 2023. Michelle began her teaching career as a high school instructor in mathematics and environmental science. With 25 years in public and private schools, she has held a variety of leadership roles such as Instructional Coach, Upper School Head, and Academic Dean. Michelle holds an M.Ed. from the University of Houston and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Tech University, along with certifications in special education and educational leadership. At Winston, Michelle enjoys working with outstanding faculty and staff, making a difference in the lives of young leaders. Outside of school, she enjoys exploring the Hill Country with her husband, Roger, and their beagle, Tortilla.
