“Bridging the Gap: The Transition to College for Neurodiverse Students”
Led by Dr. Dianne Hengst, Ph.D. and Toni Schexnyder, M.Ed.

This in-person event will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 - 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

This session will explore the barriers students with disabilities face as they transition into postsecondary education, the types of support programs offered at higher education institutions, the regulations that govern disability services, and the process for securing accommodations in college. Join us to discover how students with disabilities are part of the diversity that exists on college campuses today and how to think creatively to solve barrier issues through awareness and self-advocacy.

This event will be held in person and is free and open to the public! Hosted at The Winston School San Antonio at 8565 Ewing Halsell Drive, San Antonio, TX 78229.
